Use your Mac mini, Studio or MacBook from your tablet — screen, touchpad, keyboard and touch are all yours. From your desk, from the couch, even from another room; without carrying a separate monitor, mouse or keyboard.
Put the Mac on the network. Ethernet is recommended for the smoothest result (a desktop Mac is usually wired already) — but it is not required, Wi-Fi works too.
Open the app on the tablet. With the tablet on the same Wi-Fi network, it finds the Mac and connects.
Screen and control are yours. The Mac screen arrives on the tablet; you drive the Mac with the touchpad, the keyboard, or by touching the screen.
Heading out? Turn on remote access: add the tablet once with your own Tailscale account, and from then on it connects the same way from another network.
A note on performance: For the smoothest result, put the Mac on Ethernet and both sides on a Wi-Fi 6 network. On Wi-Fi 5, dense motion can show small hitches by the nature of the link. We do not present Wi-Fi as the equal of a cable — the result follows your Mac’s network connection and the capacity of your tablet’s hardware video decoder. When you connect from away, smoothness follows the internet connection in between.
